Beliefnet – The largest spiritual web site on the ‘Net, operates with a mission of helping people find and walk a spiritual path that can bring comfort, hope, clarity, strength, and happiness. Beliefnet is independent and not affiliated with any organization or movement. 

 Buddhism – A site on basic Buddhist teachings dedicated to the development of compassion, universal responsibility, and enlightenment.

 

 The Light of Truth Universal Shrine (LOTUS) –A unique temple dedicated to interfaith understanding and the Light within all faiths.

 

Internet Sacred Texts Archive – Complete sacred texts from religions all over the world.

 

Judaism 101An excellent online encyclopedia of Judaism.

 

 

MYSTICAL VIEWS

The Abwoon Study Circle – focuses on the Native Middle Eastern Mysticism of Neil Douglas-Klotz and Kamae A. Miller, including the Aramaic Jesus, ancient Middle Eastern spirituality and Sufism.  

Catholic Saints – The site includes Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, Therese of Lisieux, Pope John Paul II, and many others. A good site for basic information.
 

Mysticism – The Ascension Mission website is sponsored by the Catholic Apostolic Church of Antioch.  Click on “Mysticism” for general information, where you will see other links on modern Christian mysticism.

 

Mysticism in Islam – The complete text of The Mystics of Islam by Reynold A. Nicholson (Routledge, Kegan Paul, London, 1914).  Traces the influences of Gnosticism, Christianity, and Neoplatonism in Islam.

 

Christian Mystics – A well-rounded resource on the Christian mystics of history.

 

Mystics of Vedanta – The site provides bios on the founding mystics/prophets of the main religions, but mainly focuses on the saints and mystics of Vedanta.
